President’s Message

United Way is unique in Metro Vancouver. No other organization has the same breadth of diverse partnerships or the same depth, in terms of taking comprehensive action on social issues. By working together, we are creating something truly remarkable – a community where, in good times and bad, we care for each other.

United Way works to protect the vulnerable by helping children, particularly those at risk and by helping seniors to stay active and live independently. Gifts to United Way help us to prevent social problems before they become crises.

Through research, education, advocacy, fundraising and investment, United Way of the Lower Mainland works to create positive, lasting and measurable change for people living in the Metro Vancouver region.

Together we can make a profound difference in individual lives and in the quality of life we all enjoy.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, the staff, the hundreds of volunteers and the thousands of people throughout the Lower Mainland who benefit from the support of our donors, I want to say thank you for your commitment and your generous contributions to United Way.
