The Vancouver Sun United Way Day of Caring

What is The Vancouver Sun United Way Day of Caring?

A program that brings United Way’s funded agency partners together with United Way donors to provide meaningful volunteer opportunities.

What does this accomplish?

United Way donors better understand how together we are positively impacting the lives of vulnerable people across the Lower Mainland. Donors learn about the issues facing our region by getting to see first-hand how their gifts help families move from poverty to possibility, build stronger communities for seniors and help kids be all that they can be. Donors are inspired to continue giving and agencies get some extra help.

Projects we’re looking for

Projects like painting, gardening, landscaping and cleaning that will take a half-day to a full-day to complete. We are also looking for ongoing volunteer opportunities such as assembling care packages or hampers on a weekly basis.

Who can participate?

United Way Top Contributors and United Way funded agency partners are invited to participate in the program.

Any questions contact our Volunteer Administrator, Sandra Niven.
