G&F Financial Group raise record breaking amount for United Way of the Lower Mainland

During the month of November, employees raised over $32,696 for the United Way of Lower Mainland, with an additional $25,000 matched by the G&F Financial Group Foundation (G&F) to total $57,696. A cheque presentation took place at the credit union’s Corporate Office on December 10, 2009 in Burnaby.

The donation amount has broken all previous records for United Way Employee Campaigns in G&F’s history. According to G&F’s United Way Employee Campaign Chair and Regional Manager Andrew Solnordal, “Given this year’s economy, I am proud of the way our staff have stepped up in helping organizations like the United Way. These results have taken us by surprise, and we are overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity and sense of community spirit.”

G&F Financial Group – With 12 branches throughout Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, New Westminster, Port Coquitlam, and Richmond, G&F Financial Group has been a dedicated community partner for over 67 years.

The Lower Mainland credit union has a history of contributing to youth development, athletics, academics, health, and community development through sponsorships, donations, and various fundraising efforts.
