Public Policy Institute
Building on the success of the United Way Public Policy Institute since 2011, we are offering this great training and capacity building program again for 2017.
Between January and June 2017, we will bring together another group of 25 leaders from the BC non-profit sector whose organizations want to better understand and influence the public policy process. Enrollment is open to organizations involved in social or health related services from all regions of the province.
Selected organizations will delegate their representative to attend monthly two-day sessions. Sessions will explore such topics as evidence, policy options, engagement as well as implementation & evaluation.
Our very dedicated faculty are returning in 2017. Mike Harcourt, former premier of British Columbia, will be joined again by Brenda Eaton, Elizabeth Cull, Ida Goodreau and Liz Whynot. They bring a wealth of real-life public policy experience to the program, complemented by an impressive and diverse array of panelists and guest speakers.
