A community of donors who strongly endorse the work of United Way have rallied together to help our community.
The Philanthropists’ Circle was established in 2009 by a group of dedicated community leaders with a goal of raising matching funds to encourage individuals and corporations to dig deep and show increased commitment to our community, at a time of urgent need. As a result of this incredible support, thousands of everyday heroes were inspired to make a new donation to United Way or increase their gift by 15% or more.
To date, Members of the Philanthropists’ Circle have contributed a total of $6 million, with individual gifts ranging from $25,000 to more than $1 million. These matching funds helped generate more than $12 million for essential programs in our community. Today, we have the opportunity to build on these achievements, and continue to ensure vulnerable children and seniors are put on the path for success and in dependence. This year, Philanthropists’
Circle donations will exclusively match new or increased contributions directly to United Way at the Leadership level (valued at $1,000 or more).
