United Way is all about changing the future, and we want to know what yours looks like!
Do your Facebook photos always generate lots of comments and “likes”? Do you come to your office in costume on Halloween? Are you always providing photo and stage direction for your photos? If so, then this is the contest for you.
Here’s how you enter:
1. Gather a team of your workplace employees (up to 10 team members).
2. Develop a “changing the future” theme. Jill wanted to be a fashion designer. Carlo wanted to be a scientist. Estelle wanted more friends. See their stories and get some inspiration by watching the Futureland video. Can't view the YouTube video? Click here. Some more inspiration:
* What does the future look like to you?
* What did you want to be when you were a 10-year-old? An astronaut? A fireman? An actress? A police officer?
* How do you want to spend your retirement?
1. Get creative! Gather your costumes and props and head down with your team to United Way’s Kick-Off at the Cauldron event at the Jack Poole Plaza at the Vancouver Convention Centre on Wednesday September 7th between 11:30am – 1:30pm. (Some props will be available at the event.)
2. Get your team photo taken at the PwC Photo Booth between 11:30am – 1:30pm. We will then post one photo online.
3. Get your fellow employees, friends and family to vote for the best team photo by visiting the PwC Photo Booth page at uwlm.ca starting Monday, September 12th, 2011.
4. The photo with the most votes or likes will win a fabulous team prize!

Ten BC Lion’s pre-game field passes in conjunction with ten Touchdown End Zone tickets for the Regular Season Finale vs. Montreal on November 5th 2011 at the brand new BC Place Stadium.
Contest Details:
* Have your photo taken between 11:30 am and 1:30 pm Pacific Time at Jack Poole Plaza at the Vancouver Convention Centre on September 7, 2011.
* Voting portion of the contest starts at 12:00 pm Pacific Time September 12, 2011 and runs until 12:00 pm Pacific Time September 30, 2011.
* Limit- One photo and photo submission per team.
* All photos must show at least two people from a single organization - workplace or union and/or workplace and its union(s).
* Photos will be displayed on Facebook for the purposes of this contest.
* Voting will take place on Facebook for the purposes of this contest.
* Photos submitted to this contest may also be selected for use in other United Way of the Lower Mainland materials to promote the organization.
Eligibility:
* To enter and to be eligible to win, entrant must be a legal resident of British Columbia, and be nineteen (19) years of age or older.
* You must be the sole owner of all right, title and interest (including copyright) in and to the work submitted in connection with the contest.
Finalists:
* All photos selected as finalists will be posted on facebook by Monday,September 12th at 12:00 pm Pacific Time.
* Winner will be notified by email.
* The photo with the most facebook “Likes” will win the grand prize.
Consent:
* By submitting your images, you give United Way permission to use, publish or disseminate any of your images in print and/or on our website. You also waive any claims of ownership or copyright protection with the photos you submit.
* To participate in the contest, you need to ensure that every team member has signed the contest waiver at the PwC Photo Booth on September 7, 2011.
