2011 United Way campaign tops
$28.6 million

Donors stepped up to support United Way of the Lower Mainland's 2011 fundraising campaign, contributing over $28.6 million to improve lives and strengthen communities throughout the region.

Approximately 650 people gathered for dinner at the Scotiabank & United Way Community Spirit Awards in Vancouver on Thursday, March 29. The event honoured volunteers, community agencies and donors who supported the annual United Way campaign.

In his tribute to donors and partner organizations, United Way President & CEO Michael McKnight said that with the help of donors and community partners, measurable change was being made to the lives of vulnerable children and seniors in the Lower Mainland.
