WUIP Dinner Party Campaign

The WUIP Dinner Party Campaign is a great way to bring women together to socialize, celebrate and network---all while supporting a great cause!

Party details

There are no requirements for how your party is organized. Feel free to invite a small group of your closest girlfriends for a night of pedicures; host an elaborate dinner for your colleagues; or even invite your neighbourhood Mommy and Me group for a casual get together--it's up to you! We simply ask that in lieu of a hostess gift, guests contribute a donation towards United Way’s Women United in Philanthropy!

How will donations help?

Women United in Philanthropy is a group of women who are devoted to children in our community. Our focus is on ensuring at-risk children are offered the supports to succeed in school.

We know that school readiness has a far reaching affect on the future of our community. We are a strong, united voice working passionately to develop partnerships and raise funds to support social service programs that support food & nutrition, literacy and parenting supports that are critical to our children’s development and well being.

All proceeds from the WUIP Dinner Party Campaign will go towards Success By 6 programs that help to ensure our community’s most vulnerable young children enter kindergarten ready to succeed in school.

How much should my guests and I donate?

A gift at any level is greatly appreciated.

Below you will find a list of United Way and Women United in Philanthropy recognition levels.

*Donations of $1,000 or more will be publicly recognized by United Way and Women United in Philanthropy. All gifts valued at $25 or more will be eligible to receive a tax receipt.

How do guests make a donation?

We encourage you to print out a WUIP Dinner Party Donation Form for each of your guests to fill out at the event, or make an online donation. When making a donation online, please be sure to enter that your gift is in support of WUIP and the name of the dinner hostess in the “What else do you want to tell us about your gift?” field.

What should I do with donations I collect?

Will tax receipts be provided?

All donations of $25 or more will be eligible to receive a tax receipt.
